Publish your book on Amazon KDP with professional assistance

Crea Editores provides publishing assistance for authors releasing books on Amazon KDP as independent authors — bilingual self-publishing services for independent authors in the U.S. and Mexico. The service may include copyediting, cover design, book formatting, file preparation, metadata and publishing assistance across Kindle, paperback and hardcover. The author keeps control of the work, the rights and the royalties.

What Amazon KDP is

KDP stands for Kindle Direct Publishing, Amazon's platform for publishing and selling books on Kindle and in print through print on demand. The author lists the book, sets price and marketplaces, and Amazon prints each copy when someone buys it. No print run, no inventory, no publishing contract.

Who it works for

A good fit if

  • Your manuscript is finished or nearly finished.
  • You want to keep your rights and royalties.
  • You want to sell in several countries from day one.
  • The book supports your professional practice or brand.
  • You would rather decide cover, title and price yourself.

Worth a second look if

  • Your main goal is front-table placement in physical bookstores.
  • You need an advance to fund the writing.
  • The draft is half-written — developmental editing comes first.
  • The book depends on third-party rights that are unresolved.

How we work

01

Material review

We read your manuscript or proposal and tell you plainly what it needs before publication.

02

Written scope and schedule

Services included, number of revision rounds and dates. No surprises mid-project.

03

Editorial production

Editing, design and formatting in the right order: text closes before formatting, and the cover spine is calculated from the final page count.

04

Product page preparation

Description, categories, keywords and per-marketplace pricing.

05

Publication in your account

We work inside the author's KDP account. Sales data and payments come straight to you.

06

Proof and approval

Nothing is approved without reviewing a physical proof or the complete digital proof.

Rights, royalties and your account

  • The rights to the work are and remain the author's.
  • Royalties are paid by Amazon directly to the author's account.
  • Publication happens in the author's own KDP account wherever possible.
  • Crea Editores does not act as an imprint and retains no rights over the work.

Royalty rates, printing costs and available marketplaces are defined by Amazon and change over time. Check current terms in the official Amazon KDP help pages.

International markets and bilingual authors

From a single account, a KDP title can be listed across Amazon marketplaces in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania, each with its own price. For bilingual authors that means reaching readers in the United States, Mexico, Spain and Latin America without country-by-country distribution deals — and publishing the same book in English and Spanish as two properly localised editions rather than one compromise.

Evidence of experience

Quantum Physics for Kids is an illustrated children's book produced end to end by Crea Editores and published through Amazon KDP in six languages: Spanish, English, German, French, Italian and Czech. Print on demand, international distribution, and presentations at FIL Palacio de Minería 2026 and FIL San Miguel de Allende 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is Crea Editores a traditional publisher?

No. We support authors publishing as independents on Amazon KDP. There is no rights assignment and no acquisitions committee.

Can I use my own Amazon KDP account?

Yes, and we recommend it. We work inside your account so control, sales reports and payments stay in your name.

Who receives the royalties?

The author. Amazon pays directly to the bank account registered in KDP.

Do I need an ISBN to publish on KDP?

No. Amazon assigns an identifier to print books and an ASIN to eBooks. Your own ISBN matters if you want distribution beyond Amazon or want to be the publisher of record.

Do you publish hardcover and eBook as well as paperback?

Yes. We prepare all three; each needs its own files and a different cover calculation.

Do you work with authors in the United States?

Yes. We work with authors across the U.S. and Mexico and publish in English and Spanish.

Can you publish the same book in English and Spanish?

Yes. Each language is set up as its own edition with adapted cover, localised metadata and its own product page.

Do you guarantee sales?

No. Nobody can guarantee that honestly. We work on what is controllable: editorial quality, cover, metadata and a correctly configured listing.
